  17. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  19. This screen saver requires:
  20.  
  21. - Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0 (or greater) computer
  22. - video display of 256 or more colors (16-bit color strongly
  23.   recommended!)
  24. - minimum of 8 MB of RAM (16 MB recommended)
  25. - approximately 5 MB of free disk space

  28. UNINSTALLING THE SCREEN SAVER
  29.  
  30. After installing, you can easily remove this screen saver from your
  31. Computer through the Add/Remove Programs icon in Control Panel.

  33. To remove the screen saver:
  34. 1. Click the Start menu
  35. 2. Click Settings
  36. 3. Click Control Panel
  37. 4. Double click Add/Remove Programs
  38. 5. Select Fireworks Screen Saver then click the Add/Remove
  39.    button.

  58. OPTIONAL SETTINGS
  59. The optional settings for your screen saver can be accessed by
  60. implementing the following steps: 1) right click on your desktop; 
  61. 2) choose the "Properties" menu item; 3) select the "Screen Saver" 
  62. tab; and, 4) click on the Settings button.

  64. General
  65. - Images: you can change the time each image appears on screen as 
  66. well as the size of each image
  67. - Captions: you can change the position of captions (these are just
  68. file names and are boring -- we recommend you leave captions turned 
  69. off!)

  71. Multimedia
  72. - Sounds: you can change the amount of time between any sounds played
  73. by your screen saver
  74. - You may also mute any sounds completely by checking the "Mute
  75. Sounds" checkbox
  76.  
  77. Transitions
  78. - You may choose various transitions between screens (by default, 
  79. all transitions are selected, but you may deselect one or more 
  80. transition types) -- using more than one transition will cause the 
  81. various transitions to be displayed randomly
  82. - Advanced/"Always Dither to Standard Palette": when this box is 
  83. checked,  the colors in  each screen will not "flash" if your 
  84. computer is in 256-color mode.  This option is unchecked by default.

  87. - If Microsoft Plus! System Agent (available from Microsoft as a 
  88. companion program to Windows 95) is running on your computer, you can
  89. begin your screen saver immediately (or prevent it from displaying 
  90. at all) by moving your mouse pointer to a corner of your screen.

  93. - This "setting" simply contains further information about your 
  94. screen saver, Light House Photography, and Hesed Interactive

  97. - Web site: provided you have an active connection to the internet, 
  98. clicking on this button will open your web browser and take you to

  102. IMPORTANT NOTE
  103.  
  104. If your monitor/video card combination has a maximum setting of 256 
  105. colors, the colors in the screen saver may "flash" and create a 
  106. posterized effect during transitions.  You can eliminate this effect 
  107. by checking the "Always Dither to Standard Palette" box in the 
  108. optional settings (see Transitions below); however, this may cause 
  109. the screen shots to appear "grainy."  
  110.  
  111. For this reason, we strongly recommend that you use this screen 
  112. saver with a monitor/video card capable of employing at least 16-bit 
  113. color.  You can set your system to 16-bit color by taking the 
  114. following steps: 1) Right click on your desktop and choose the 
  115. "Properties" menu item; 2) Choose the "Settings" Tab; and, 3) Under 
  116. "Colors," select High Color (16 bit) or greater.
